Thomastown
Plaque located at CF47 0BA

Thomastown was built on the “Court Estate”, land which belonged to Dr. Thomas who lived at The Court House (see above). It consisted of 172 acres and did not contain many minerals. Dr. Thomas allowed the area to develop as a superior residential area, mainly between 1849 & 1865.

In 1978, Thomastown was designated a Conservation Area.
